With the coming of warm weather sailing here is an article about how to 'see' the wind and get it to work for you.
WIND ORIENTATION
Wind is one of the trickiest elements for the new sailor to become attuned to because it can only be observed indirectly. Although we have moving air around us all of our lives, most of us are oblivious to it. Insulated in automobiles and offices, we don't have much need to pay attention to it unless a hurricane or other extreme weather event is in the forecast... click HERE for more.
The dock anchoring system is being upgraded. Wade Carr
and the husband/wife team of Elizabeth and Louis Koella were out at the site on
Sunday welding the metal 'barrel prongs' that will help hold the concrete in
place. More help will be needed in the near future as plans are to have
all this work done by March/April.
Thanks Wade!
